Goals

CCK merges innovative skill refinement techniques, athletic leadership, and motivational coaching in a fun and memorable environment.

Remarkable
Progress

Our athletes are on the ice a minimum of twice per week, from September to March, with professional coaches who develop individual skills and spark next level hockey abilities. CCK seeks out talented leaders who consistently reflect our values and actively contribute to our performance culture.

Collective
Wisdom

CCK players have an opportunity to fine-tune individual and group tactics with weekly team practices led by our knowledgeable bench coaches. We are fortunate to have former Olympic Champions, NHL, University, European, and WHL players as part of our program and as parent coaches.

Conditioned Success

Our older athletes participate in weekly dryland training sessions with Propel Performance Institute and RVXFactor. In addition to fostering beneficial off-ice player connections, these intense workouts target endurance, strength, and explosiveness.

Results
Focus

A strong mental game boosts performance and consistency. CCK athletes achieve peak individual and team potential by working with professionals who focus on building confidence, self-awareness, resiliency, commitment and composure through effective routines, mental strategies, and a positive mindset.

Flexible
Growth

CCK views the body as a total unit. Be it with yoga or True Movement sessions, our players work on balance and strength to loosen tight muscles, expand range of motion and protect themselves from injury. Through weekly practice, our athletes enhance awareness of form and breath.

Influential
Leadership

We want our athletes to strive for excellence in every facet of their lives. CCK nurtures character through a focus on integrity, respect, accountability, and continuous learning. Our goal is to enhance great people through sport and in doing so, create next generation leaders who will make significant community contributions.

Timely
Exposure

CCK enjoys access to HSL showcase events as well as broader scouting opportunities. Be it at the rink or through strong tertiary education connections, we are eager to help our athletes explore pathways for success.

Complete
Wellness

Recovery is an integral part of training and competition. As our athletes push themselves they may require additional help to maintain their health or manage injuries. CCK has access to a trusted network of qualified health providers who specialize in sports medicine and treatment. We are happy to share our connections so that athletes can return from injury as quickly as possible.

Program Advantage

CK Hockey provides the core of our player development program. Sean Connauton and Dustin Kohn share our passion for athletic growth and performance excellence and work with all teams on skating, passing, shooting, puck-handling, puck protection, vision and hockey awareness.

Our athletes also benefit from skating and skill instruction through our relationships with David Pelletier and Britney Millar, two of the best skating instructors in metro-Edmonton.

We are proud to offer a goalie program unlike any other. CCK goaltenders enjoy twice weekly specialized instruction offered by professional goalie coaches including Ian Gordan (Red Deer Rebels), Cody Hryniw (Drayton Valley Thunder) and Kurtis Mucha (Edmonton Oil Kings). At a minimum of 50 hours and a 2:1 ratio – we set the gold standard for goalie development.

Same Game. Fresh Direction.

As the hockey landscape continues to evolve, we are proud to carve out a new way forward. Our programs provide unique opportunities for 2014-2005 born athletes across a number of competitive HSL Divisions.
